Darwin Foundation in Chile

The Science and Evolution Foundation has been operating as a legal entity since May 18, 2008, when it was granted by Decree # 1749 from the Chilean Ministry of Justice. The Board of Directors and the Executive Committee are currently organizing an extended agenda of activities.

This initiative was developed by a like-minded group of people, all interested in understanding social and individual behaviours from an evolutionary perspective, which has become a profoundly influential paradigm in the knowledge of human beings.

The year 2009 marks the 200th anniversary of Darwin’s birth, and the 150th year since the publication of his masterpiece “On the Origin of Species”. Many celebrations will take place throughout the world, and the Science and Evolution Foundation has prepared a very interesting agenda in Chile, in order to join the celebrations.
